About Us

 Automated Cells & Equipment, a FANUC Certified Servicing Integrator, started in the robotics business in Corning, NY in 1996 with a staff of five and its President, Jim Morris. The company designs, builds and installs automated systems where hand assembly and repetitive motion are no longer cost-effective. Their customers were initially concentrated in the Northeast U.S. and consisted primarily of auto parts manufacturers. As more manufacturers sought greater efficiencies and more economical methods of production, the company’s customer base expanded to include projects in the mid and southwest U.S. as well as Mexico, Spain and France.

 In 1999, the company outgrew its Corning location and moved into a new 12,000 square-foot facility in the Erwin Park Innovation Center in nearby Painted Post, NY. Now with an expanded staff of 12, Automated Cells & Equipment further increased its customer offerings to include systems for machine tending, dispensing, press load/unload, material removal, and material handling. Generally, all systems provided by Automated Cells & Equipment include complete mechanical and electrical design, build, programming, debug, documentation, training and on-site start up assistance.

Automated Cells & Equipment has been a FANUC Certified Servicing Specialist since the inception of the program in 2001.  In 2010 they would become the first FANUC Certified Vision Specialist, proving their expertise in using FANUC's iRVision in their robotics solutions.

 2006 brought Automated Cells & Equipment into its 10th year as the company continued to demonstrate growth in sales, geographic coverage and staffing. The facility underwent a major expansion by increasing its fabrication and assembly areas by 15,000 square feet. The additional space also included the installation of a dedicated training facility for FANUC Certified training classes conducted on robot programming and maintenance. They celebrated the opening of the improved facility and the completion of its 11th year in business with a Fall Festival and Open House in 2007.    
 
 Building on their reputation for excellence, Automated Cells & Equipment has captured the FANUC Robotics' Sales Leadership Award for nine of the past eleven years. FANUC has repeatedly recognized Automated Cells & Equipment for exemplary leadership in sales and integration in the Northeast Region.
